The Edgar Fahs Smith Memorial Collection in the History of Chemistry


This commemorates the designation of the Edgar Fahs Smith Memorial Collection in the History of Chemistry as a National Historic Chemical Landmark. The designation was conferred by the American Chemical Society, the world's largest nonprofit scientific organization. The Smith Collection is located in the Walter H. and Leonore Annenberg Rare Book and Manuscript Library at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The American Chemical Society designated the Edgar Fahs Smith Memorial Collection in the History of Chemistry as a National Historic Chemical Landmark in a ceremony at the University of Pennsylvania on March 16, 2000.
